The Lakeway curb-side recycling program started on April 2, 2012;
pick-up takes place on every other monday
(I.E. February 11 & 25, 2013 etc. are recycling Mondays)

LAKEWAY CURB-SIDE RECYCLING PROGRAM DIRECTIONS:
FIRST:
Designate two containers (plastic laundry hampers might do) in your home in which you place large plastic bags. Separate your recyclables as follows:

BAG 1: PAPER PRODUCTS
*All paper, no matter the color *Newspapers *Magazines *Cereal boxes crushed *Cardboard crushed, paper milk cartons |
BAG 2: PLASTIC & METAL
*All plastic bottles (rinsed, please; no tops) *Rinsed Steel cans *Rinsed Tin cans *Plastic products *Other metal products such as old bikes, etc |
PLEASE NO small batteries, sharp items, styrofoam, or glass!
SECOND:
The recycling truck will come every other Monday morning about 9:00 a.m. to the curb to pick up your separated bagged items. Please place your bagged recycling in a storage bin. Ensure that the items won't blow away by securely tying each bag and place a brick in the bottom of the bin. Thanks to a grant from our local Wal-Mart, those of you signed up for the program first will receive recycling bins.
